Last week, our CEO, Dr. Ben Goertzel, COO Janet Adams, and Head of Crypto Mario Casiraghi came together in a live AMA session to discuss the community governance proposal regarding our three-way token merger with the two partners.

What is the vision and purpose of the ASI Alliance?
The ASI Alliance aims to create the world’s largest open-source, independent AI research and development foundation focused on decentralized Artificial Superintelligence (ASI), ensuring AI breakthroughs benefit global well-being rather than being controlled by centralized entities with special interests.
The merger aims to unite SingularityNET with two other entities to accelerate the development of decentralized, beneficial artificial general intelligence. It’s driven by the desire to create an Artificial Superintelligence Alliance to enhance the prospects of achieving decentralized general intelligence, ensuring it remains beneficial to humanity and all sentient beings.
How will the merger impact the development of AGI?
Decentralized ASI promises to prevent the control of superintelligent AI systems by centralized parties such as Big Tech or the military of any given country, thereby aligning AI developments with global well-being and democratizing access to AI capabilities.
The merger is seen as a strategic step towards realizing the vision of decentralized, beneficial AI by combining strengths, avoiding centralization pathologies, and creating a more powerful force to compete with Big Tech companies in the race towards AGI.
How can we improve our chances of achieving decentralization in ASI development?
The ASI Alliance plans to achieve decentralization through a three-pillar approach focusing on building ASI, showing practical decentralized AI applications today, and scaling up decentralized AI, AGI, and ASI compute.
What are the main pillars of focus for the ASI Alliance?
The three main pillars are: (1) Building decentralized ASI, (2) Showcasing practical decentralized AI applications and unifying the technology stack, and (3) Scaling decentralized computing resources.
What strategies will the Alliance deploy for building decentralized ASI?
The alliance will drive forward on four interoperating streams: Large Language Models, Neural-Symbolic Evolutionary Approach, World-World Models, and Emergent AI from Agent Networks, each contributing a unique aspect to the development of ASI.
By merging resources, expertise, and communities, the Alliance plans to tackle technical obstacles more efficiently, foster innovation, and scale up efforts rapidly. The merged entity aims to leverage decentralized infrastructure to avoid the potential pathologies of centralized AGI development.
How will the Alliance scale decentralized compute?
The ASI Alliance intends to scale decentralized compute by focusing on algorithms & incentives, addressing silicon needs, and optimizing energy usage. This includes leveraging blockchain incentives to encourage contribution towards AI compute needs.
What is the governance structure of the ASI Alliance?
